Happy Adoption Day!!

Four years ago today, I held my oldest daughter for the first time.  I cannot believe that it's been four years since we were in Vietnam and I really can't believe that my baby girl is almost five.  Unreal.

To celebrate Molly's adoption day, we went to Build-A-Bear workshop.  The girls had SO much fun stuffing, bathing, dressing, and naming their bears.  Molly named her bear Chloe and Rayna named hers (surprise, surprise) Cinderella Bear.
Daddy took Aaron to check out the tools at Sears.

Then we went out to eat Vietnamese food for dinner.  Yum!!

It's hard to believe that my beautiful baby girl has been home for FOUR years...
Happy Adoption Day, precious Molly!!  We are so thankful that God brought you into our lives.  You are so loved!

My Boys

Brian took this picture of Aaron and me and said that it reminded him of the below picture of Zeke and me.  I still think about Zeke every single day.  I think about how much I would love for Zeke to meet his little brother.  We have a picture of Zeke hanging over our couch and ever since Aaron has been born, he has just stared and stared at Zeke's picture.  Well, now that he is smiling, he constantly smiles at Zeke's picture.  Zeke gets WAY more smiles out of Aaron than I do.  It's really sweet.  I love my boys.

2 Month Stats

At two months old, Aaron is 22.5 inches long and weighs 13lbs.  He is in the 15th percentile for height and 62nd for weight.  And he's off the charts for cuteness!

Eight Weeks Old

My little sweetie is 8 weeks old today.  At 8 weeks, he weighs 12lbs 7oz!  The boy likes to eat!  He has started smiling in the last couple of weeks and it's just the sweetest thing ever.  Melts my heart!

He's been having some issues with his stomach the last week or so.  He would often cry while he was eating.  It kind of peeked on Monday--he was crying every time he was eating--whether he was nursing or taking a bottle.  On Tuesday, we took him to the doctor and he was diagnosed with reflux.  He started medication and the doctor said he could take up to a week to really work, but after just four doses, we are already seeing an improvement.

We are so loving this baby boy!  Praise God for unexpected blessings.  :-)

Family Photo and Donuts

Molly needed a family photo for the family wall in her class.  So I asked Nana if she would take a family photo of us before church this morning.  I got the great idea to bribe Brian the girls with donuts to pose for the picture.  We got a halfway decent one!
I thought I should take some pictures since this was Rayna's very first donut experience.  Molly had had a donut before, but didn't remember it.  She said, "Mommy that was a yummy bagel, wasn't it?!"

Winston-Salem

This weekend we went to Winston-Salem to visit Brian's family.  It was Aaron's first trip to Grandpa and Grandma's house and he slept the whole way there and the whole way home.  Hopefully he will continue to be a good little traveler!  We had a great time!
One of Rayna's favorite parts of visiting Winston-Salem is seeing "Bapa's dogs" Milo and Sadie.
This picture wasn't from this weekend, but I knew Uncle Richard would be sad if I didn't post a picture of him on the blog, so here is a cute one of him with Rayna from a couple of weeks ago.

Back to School Night

Molly is LOVING school.  Today her school had a "back to school night" and we got to go visit her class.  We did some fun little activities and the kids got to show us their favorite things to do in the class.  Molly's favorite thing was the dollhouse and she had fun sharing it with Rayna.

When we left, she forgot her book bag and she insisted that we go back to get it because she had to do her homework.  YUP!  My little preschooler has homework and she loves it.  Hopefully she'll feel the same way when she's in middle school!

More cuteness from the last week or so:
