Rayna's Art Walk

Rayna had her art walk tonight.  Each classroom chose a different country and Rayna's class represented Tanzania--a country in Africa.  They made masks, drums, and African animals.  She was so excited to show off her art work and her classroom.  So proud of our big preschooler!

Happy Birthday Molly!

Our sweet Molly is 6 years old today.  Wasn't I just posting pictures of her 5th birthday?  I can't believe she's six!  We had a great day celebrating our big six-year-old.  I picked her up early from school and took her out to eat lunch.  I told her we could eat anywhere she wanted to go and she picked Pizza Hut.  When we got home, our neighbors had surprised her by hanging balloons in the trees.  Then we had cake and presents.  I am so thankful for the life of my precious six-year-old today.  Thankful that her birth mom chose life.  Thankful that the Lord put her in our arms.  We love you, Molly!

16 Months Old

Our sweetie is 16 months old.  And he is a sweetie.  But he is also a MESS!  Our baby toddler is into everything!  He doesn't want to sit in his highchair.  He doesn't want to sit in his car seat.  He doesn't want to sit anywhere.  He wants to climb on the table.  He runs from us.  He throws his food on the floor.  He throws things into the toilet.  He does anything and everything he can think of to get a reaction out of you.  The biggest problem right now is that whenever we are in the front yard, he wants to run into the street.  He does this because he wants to see us run after him.  He pulls the girls' hair constantly because he likes for them to screech.  Of the three kids at this age, he is not the most high-maintenance, but definitely the most strong-willed!

But thankfully, he's also super sweet and so much fun right now.  He loves music and will dance anytime anyone is singing or he hears music of any kind.  He loves the girls' toy microphones.  He enjoys being outside.  He likes going for walks, playing on the trampoline, and sliding down climbing up the slide.

If we can get him to sit still long enough, he's a pretty good eater.  His favorite food is cheese.  When he will eat nothing else, he will eat cheese.  His mouth is full of teeth!  He has all he will cut until his two year molars.  Crazy!

He is very social.  He smiles and waves at everyone.  If he smiles and waves at a stranger and they don't acknowledge him, he will get in their face and try again.

He will run at you with his arms open wide and give the biggest hugs.  I could just eat him up!  We love our little stinker sweet pea so much!!

Pumpkin Patch

Today we took our annual trip out to Waxhaw to the pumpkin patch.  We always go to this particular pumpkin patch because their proceeds all go towards missions.  This year, the Joyners went with us.  Everyone picked out pumpkins and then we took the kids to get ice cream.  I love Fall!

Happy Birthday to Nana!

Today we celebrated my mom's birthday.  Her day started by babysitting my three sweet peas--poor lucky Nana!  Then we went out to lunch and tonight the girls and I made her dinner and carrot cake.  Rayna wanted to make her an Ariel birthday cake, so we had to talk about how this was NANA'S birthday and NANA wanted a carrot cake.  So eventually she was happy to help make carrot cake for Nana.  Happy birthday, Nana!

Beach Fun!

We had a great time at the beach!  The kids have been excited about our beach trip and had a really good time.

Molly did an awesome job swimming!  She has learned how to swim underwater.  I told her we need to put her on the local swim team!  Rayna's favorite part of the beach was by far the ocean.   That child will play in the ocean as long as you let her.  She loves the waves.  Aaron liked playing in the water.  He liked both the pool and the ocean.  And everyone enjoyed cable TV, playing with cousins, and eating lots of snacks!

It was a super fun trip!
