This Weekend.....

Went by WAY too fast! I'm sticking to my opinion that all weekends should be three day weekends! :-)

Anyway, although it was fast, it was fun! We went to the Discovery Place with Nana and some friends yesterday.
Then today, we were SO excited to see our friends the Joyces. They were in town for a Panthers game and came through Monroe to have dinner with us. It was a fun weekend!
And no weekend would be complete without a good Molly story. As I was writing this post, Brian came upstairs and said, "Do you smell fingernail polish?" You guessed it. Molly was in her bed giving herself a pedicure. She covered her toes, feet, and legs in bright pink fingernail polish. As we were scrubbing her down and having a heart to heart about staying in her bed, she responded, "I just got Mommy's fingernail polish so I could paint my toes and be so beautiful!"

Grrrrr...........it's a good thing she's so cute!!UPDATE: Apparently, her raid of Mommy and Daddy's bathroom did not end at the nail polish. When we went to bed, we found that she had opened up ALL of the boxes of band-aids, gotten into the lotion, and dumped out ALL of the shampoos into the tub. All while she was supposed to be in her bed asleep. Brian turned her doorknob inside out and locked her in her room tonight. Stinker!

Hand-Me-Downs

One of my favorite things about having two girls is hand-me-downs! Not only do I love the money it saves us, I also love pulling things out that used to be Molly's and reminiscing about when Molly wore them. And I love making new memories with Rayna wearing the same things. I thought it would be fun to post some pictures of Rayna in Molly's clothing and realized it was an easy task since about 90% of Rayna's wardrobe came from her big sister. It was actually pretty fun--and I LOVE a good excuse to post baby pictures of Molly! :-)

Fair Fun Friday!

Last night, we took the girls to the Cabarrus County fair. This was our first trip to the fair and Molly loved seeing all of the animals. We saw bunnies, and lambs, and cows, and ponies......but Molly kept saying that her favorite animal at the fair was the goat. So funny! It was a good time!
I also wanted to post some cute pictures from a birthday party we went to today. Molly loves pinatas--here she is trying to break it open. My friend Denise and her husband Jose MADE this pinata. Unbelievable! :-)

Long Weekend in Winston

We spent Labor Day weekend with Brian's family in Winston-Salem and really had a good time! Both of the girls did a really good job with being away from home. Rayna slept in the pack-n-play and only woke up once each night. Molly slept with us and did well once she FINALLY fell asleep (from all of the excitement!)

AND.....we went to church on Sunday and BOTH girls stayed in their classes!! Rayna has had a hard time staying lately, but she stayed this Sunday at Brian's parents church! I'm so hoping this will be a new trend for her! :-)

We had a great time! I think all weekends should last three days! :-)

10 Months!

I know I say this every month, but I just can't get over how quickly Rayna is growing! She's has developed such a little personality and is just so much fun.

She is cruising everywhere! Every now and then she will let go and take a couple of steps, but for the most part she is happy cruising and crawling.
She is a VERY good eater. She eats pretty much anything you put in front of her and she usually always cleans her plate. She nurses about 3 times a day and takes about 2 bottles. She's always doing very well with a sippy cup.

She now understands the word "no" and completely ignores it. She knows when she is doing something she's not supposed to do (like playing in the toilet or getting into the dog food) and looks to see if you are watching her before she does something naughty. But don't think you watching her makes her stop--she just grins at you and keeps right on doing whatever is she's not supposed to do.

She's sleeping really well now. She sleeps about 12 hours a night and is pretty consistently sleeping through the night. If she does wake up, it's only once and she nurses and goes right back to sleep. She's takes 1-2 pretty decent naps a day.

She is BUSY. I mean she never stops. From the time her little eyes open in the morning until she goes to bed at night, she is on the go. I guess that's why she has such a good appetite! :-)

We just love our sweet little 10 month old!
