Tomorrow is the big day!

Tomorrow we will meet our newest baby girl! We are SO excited (and a little nervous) about meeting our second daughter tomorrow morning. Brian's sister, Marie, is here to take care of Molly for the next few days. We are SO thankful for her time here and Molly has already been having a blast with her. We're going to miss her so much for the next few days but she's in good hands! Brian will try to post as soon as we get settled in a room tomorrow. So exciting! :-)

Halloween Fun!

We had a fun Halloween! Molly's Aunt Marie brought her a cute bumblebee costume when she was here for her birthday last week and Molly LOVED it. She ran around the house the night of her birthday saying "bumblebee, bumblebee!" When she woke up from her nap this afternoon, we told her she got to dress up as a bumblebee and she was thrilled! We went to see Nana and then her Donahue friends came over for dinner and to go trick or treating. She had a good time trick or treating although, poor thing, it was about 75 degrees out and she was dressed from head to toe in thick fleece. Gotta love October in North Carolina!

School Shower

My sweet friends from work threw me a baby shower for Rayna yesterday. My friend Anna hosted the shower and it was so fun to spend time with my work friends celebrating Rayna.
How adorable is this diaper cake?! Anna is so crafty! :-)
Molly got tons of big sister presents--AND tons of attention.
She was loving it! :-)

I had my pre-op appointment today and everything is on schedule for Monday. They moved my surgery time from 9:30AM to 7:30AM. We have to arrive at the hospital at 5:30AM--super early! We are so excited about meeting baby Rayna in just a few more days!! :-)

2 Year Old Stats

Molly had her 2-year-old check up today. We saw our new pediatrician for the first time today. We are SO sad to be switching from our old pediatrician, Dr. Twerdi, but decided that with two children the drive was just too much. But our new pediatrician was great too. She took a lot of time with us going over Molly's history and my questions and concerns. She was very happy with Molly's growth and development. We also got to meet her PA and she was really nice as well. At 2 years old, Molly weighs 25lbs and is 32 inches tall. She has gained 6lbs and grown 2 inches since her last wellness visit! She is getting to be such a big girl! :-)

Celebrating Molly

We had some friends over tonight to help us celebrate Molly's 2nd birthday. Brian only agreed to a party for Molly if we kept it low-key. (He didn't want me doing a lot of planning and cooking this late in my pregnancy. He's pretty convinced that everything I do is going to cause me to go into labor.) So we ordered pizza and bought an Elmo cake. Ever since we started talking about Molly's birthday, all she has talked about is an Elmo cake--and she was pretty excited about it! She had a great time and went right to sleep when we put her to bed--despite all of the juice and cupcakes. :-)

Low Key Weekend

Whatever bug Molly has is not letting go easily. She's definitely getting better--no fever since Wednesday--but she's still not herself. It is so hard to see your child feeling yucky. And to make matters worse, I'm fairly certain that she is cutting ONE of her top two year molars. The bottom ones came in at the same time, but I'm thinking she's cutting the top ones one at a time. Poor girl!

So, needless to say, we've been hanging out at home trying to get better. Our friends, James and Anna, stopped by yesterday to give Molly a birthday present. She got LOTS of Elmo goodies which she LOVED of course! Molly even talked James into having a tea party with her. What a good sport! :-)
