Sick Girl

I wasn't really that concerned when Molly started coughing a little on Tuesday. She struggled with allergies pretty much all of last Fall so I figured it was just that time of year. But by Tuesday night, she was SICK. She went to bed okay on Tuesday, but woke up crying with an awful cough and pretty much didn't sleep after that. She had a cough, runny nose and eyes, and a fever. I was sure that she had the flu, but I took her to the doctor first thing on Wednesday and they did a flu test which was negative. So we've just been hanging out at home recovering and watching the Curious George movie. (No, honestly--we've watched it about 10 times in the last three days. She woke up in the middle of the night last night and when I went in to get her she said, "George, please.") We were bummed because we were supposed to go and see Brian's parents in Winston Salem this weekend, but it looks like we'll be spending this weekend at home in our PJs.

She was almost back to herself today and it was so nice to see her happy and playing again. We're hoping she'll be all better for her birthday on Thursday!

Fall Break Fun

It has been SO nice to have this time off of work. I have been spending lots of quality time with my girl which has been great! She's at such a fun age! Not to mention the fact that I have been getting to take a nap everyday--LOVELY! :-)

Molly had a play date with two of her buddies, Maia and Alea. Maia and Alea are also both adopted from Vietnam and all three girls are very close in age. It was SO fun to watch them interact and I had a great time talking to their Mommies while the girls played.
For fun, here's a picture of Molly and Maia from LAST October. Look how much they've changed! They just grow up so fast!
Last night, two of the ladies from my Life Group, Kathy and Jen, had a baby shower for baby Rayna. It was so exciting to celebrate with some great ladies from my church. Rayna got lots of cute things--we're so excited about her upcoming arrival!A couple of other random sweet pictures from Fall break:

We have a date!

The doctor's office called me today, and my c-section is scheduled for November 2nd! If everything goes according to plan, we will be meeting our little Rayna in about 3 and 1/2 weeks!

Aw Shucks!

We took a trip to Aw Shucks Corn Maze today with our friends the Hendricks. I will be going again with my class in a couple of weeks. We got to see some farm animals, go through the corn maze (Michael is quite the maze expert so it didn't take us long), take a hay ride, and Molly picked out a pumpkin. She picked a little tiny one and held it all the way home. We had a great time!
Today was also our friend Nicole's birthday so we had dessert--birthday cake--at our house after the corn maze. Cooper helped her blow out her candles! Happy birthday, Nicole!

35 Weeks

I'm now 35 weeks pregnant--hard to believe! I had a doctor's appointment today and I'm measuring large so the doctor said Rayna could be a big baby. She is calling to schedule my c-section today. I am hoping for November 2nd--only four weeks away!
