Surprise Baby Shower!

My wonderful friends at work threw me a surprise baby shower yesterday! It was SO much fun! How great it was to get together and celebrate Molly's arrival with so many of my good friends! Thank you, Anna, Tara, and everyone else! I cannot tell you how blessed we are by your love and friendship! :-)

How great are these shirts?! They all have pictures of Molly on them. Mine says Molly's Mommy, Brian's says Molly's Daddy, and everyone else on my grade-level had ones that said "Molly's babysitter!" They are SO cute! I even wore mine to work today! :-)

My grade-level even put together a fun little travel bag with EVERYTHING you can think of we may need on our trip! :-)

Molly got SO many cute things (she's just going to be a little spoiled!)--but I thought it was so great that the orphanage wasn't forgotten. There was a collection taken for the orphanage in Molly's very first piggy bank!

Molly's Room

Molly's room is finally finished! Our project this weekend was the window. Her room is VERY bright so we put up a light-blocking shade. Hopefully that will help her take a nap! My favorite part of her room is the letters--I wish they showed up better in pictures. Well, her room is all ready! Now all we need is for her to come home! Only 11 days until we leave!

Congratulations Donahues!

We just wanted to say congratulations to our good friends Brad and Annie Beth on their fourth child, Caleb Braxton. And congratulations Ben, Anna, and Emily on your new little brother!

Guess What Came In The Mail Today?

Two round-trip tickets to Vietnam!! Woo-hoo!!

We will be leaving for Vietnam two weeks from today!!

We Registered!

Well, my head has been spinning for the last few days! I still cannot believe we are really leaving for Vietnam in 2 weeks and 2 days! Not that I'm counting or anything... :-) We're now registered at Target! Several people have asked us what we still need and I could never think of anything on the spot. So my mom and I were out running errands tonight and I spontaneously decided to register while we were out. And what do you know--I managed to find 50+ items that Molly NEEDS! :-)

We now have our flights booked. We will be leaving Charlotte on August 22nd at 6:00PM. I feel like the timing of the flights will be good because our longest flight will be overnight so hopefully we can sleep. We've also been working on our hotel accommodations so hopefully those will be done soon as well!

I cannot believe this time three weeks from now we will have Molly in our arms! We are so thankful that God has worked everything out--He has been so good to us! :-)

Good News!

Good news! We received our corrected approval letter! Whew! Even though everyone was assuring me it would be fine, I was still a little nervous. I feel a lot better now that we have approval to pick up the right child! I cannot believe that we will be leaving for Vietnam in 2 1/2 weeks!! God is so good to us! :-D

And our adoption isn't the only area where God's been working around us. Our good friends James and Anna Brown were both baptized yesterday! It's been amazing to watch God move in their lives and I'm so excited to watch God's plan for them unfold. :-)

And The Countdown Begins!

We have travel dates! While everything is tentative, we will be departing Charlotte, NC on August 22!! We haven't made hotel arrangements yet, but that's next on the list!

I actually called Vietnam Adoptions in Hanoi last night to talk with them about the issue in our paperwork. The lady I spoke with said she was forwarding it to Ho Chi Minh City and it should be resolved soon. Great news!

Three weeks from today we will be leaving for Vietnam!! We can't wait!!
