We had a great time celebrating Christmas today with our family. The kids woke up super early (like every other day! ha!). They were super excited that Nana spent the night. We were opening presents before dawn! Then Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Marie came over for Christmas lunch and the Happy Birthday Jesus cake. Merry Christmas!
Last night, we went to a Frozen party at the library. Molly picked up a flier for the party awhile back and she's been talking about it ever since. She was the most excited about dressing up for the costume contest. All three of them one a prize so she was pretty happy. The highlight of the event for Aaron was running into his buddy Nolan.
Yesterday was the last Sunday before Christmas so we celebrated at church. The kids sang during the service and then we had a "Happy birthday, Jesus" party. We all had a good time celebrating the birth of Christ! We are so thankful for our church!
My dear friends Lisa and Savannah stopped by today with Christmas cookies. I can't even begin to tell you how awesome it was to catch up with them. I feel like it was just yesterday that Savannah was two and watching Barney and now she's a young adult. She just finished her first semester at Duke. I love the Holmes family so much! An awesome Christmas surprise! :-)
We went to the library today to see Santa. Aaron was more excited to see Ms. Joy, his Sunday school teacher. She works at the library and he was soooo happy to see her! When it was our turn to talk to Santa, only Molly would sit on his lap. The other two would only go close to him with Ms Joy. But by the end if the evening, Aaron was warming up to Santa and even gave him a hug. We all had a fun time!
Rayna lost her first tooth yesterday! Her tooth had been loose for quite awhile. When it finally fell out, she and Molly were SO excited! The tooth fairy left her a dollar and a book. I can't believe my baby is really old enough to be losing teeth! But she looks so cute.
