July Walk

A July afternoon with temps below 90 degrees and low humidity calls for a walk! ☀️

Picnic and Haircuts

Rayna planned a picnic with her OT and today was her picnic. She made the list of foods she wanted, the list of people to invite, etc. It was a great picnic!

In other news, the boys got haircuts today. They look super adorable but a little grown up for me.

Ethan Update

Our sweet Ethan has been developing so much lately!  First of all, his language has really taken off!  I have to admit, I was a little worried when he had been home several weeks and still not saying anything. But just recently his language has exploded!

He says:
Daddy
Mommy (yay!  Finally!)
Nana
Bubbles
No
Cracker (which pretty much means food)
Bye bye
Me
Baby
Shoes
Water
Ball
And he attempts all of his siblings and the dog. 😂  "Ray Ray" and "Molly" are fairly clear. It usually takes me awhile to understand "Aaron".

He also has some phrases:
Thank you
Come back
Daddy go? (Or Mommy go? Etc)
What that?

He signs:
More
All done
Eat
Please

And he's developing in other areas as well. He is running and climbing like crazy. And he's so fast!  It took him about 20 seconds to get a chair, scoot it to the counter, and climb up to help himself to an apple and my sunglasses. I told brian I didn't remember our other toddlers getting into so much so fast but he assured me they did. He said we have just gotten older and more tired with each child. 😂

We love this boy so much and praise God for bringing him into our family.

When Daddy takes the kids to the store....

They might just come home with a lollipop as big as their head.

Bowling

Today we went bowling!  It was the first time bowling for all of the kids other than Rayna. We had a great time!  The kids were so sweet encouraging each other and helping each other. Aaron is the most competitive of the kids and he got a little sad when his pins didn't all go down. We played two games--Rayna won the first game and Molly won the second. Foxes Bowling Alley has free bowling all summer for kids so we will definitely be going back!

Ginger

We had quite the scare with Ginger today.  She followed the kids into the front yard, saw a dog across the street, ran after it, and got hit by a car.  She didn't look injured, but she ran off.  Brian came home from work, the guy walking the dog, the guy driving the car, and I all looked.  We looked for hours.  We called the Human Society to see if someone had brought her in, put a message on facebook, etc.  Our neighbors looked and another friend went out and looked.  It was super scary.  But later that afternoon (about SIX HOURS later), she came home!  And  she's totally fine!  Molly was so happy to see her!  She had been devastated by what had happened.  Thankful that she survived with nothing more than a little road burn!

Stinker

This little stinker was entirely too pleased with himself when he locked Daddy out of the house.  It's a good thing he's so cute!

FIVE

Our sweet boy is FIVE today!  Praising God for His unexpected blessings.  Happy birthday, Aaron Levi!  You are so loved!  ❤❤

For his birthday, Aaron wanted to go ride gokarts.  We went to Adventure Landing and Aaron did a couple of laps around the track, but then got nervous and wanted to get off.  He did enjoy the bumper boats, though!  We went to Golden Corral for dinner.  He loves Golden Corral and was excited that they have cheesecake for Nana.  Such a sweet boy.  He is growing up so quickly.  Can't believe this boy is five today!

Summer Sweetness

Rayna told me today that I could just relax and drink my coffee and she would make breakfast for the boys.  I think I'm going to enjoy having my girls home this summer!  😍

Celebrating Aaron

Today we had a great time with family celebrating Aaron!  Aaron's birthday is Tuesday so grandpa, grandma, and nana came over today for cake to celebrate our almost 5-year-old.
