This time next month, our little sweetie will be three years old. 3?! Where has the time gone? She's not a baby anymore. She's not even a toddler. She really is turning into a big girl! It's so fun watching her personality develop. I think that's got to be the best part about being a parent. It's already fun to see the differences and similarities between Molly and Rayna.
Our almost-3-year-old has been TROUBLE this month! She is into everything! At least once everyday I catch Molly doing something naughty. Like pouring pepper all over some one's dinner, "washing" her clothes in the sink, coloring on the wall or some piece of furniture, etc. And she typically has some sort of sweet explanation for her behavior. Her favorite is, "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to!"
But for all of the trouble she's been into this month, she has been equally sweet. I absolutely LOVE having conversations with her. She asks questions about everything and is just so smart and observant. If I lose something (which happens quite a bit!), she is the first person I ask. Yesterday, we went to Target, but we went a different way. She told us we were going the wrong way. If I had had the sense of direction at 16 that she has at 3, I'd be in pretty good shape today! I'm looking forward to the day that she can tell me how to get where I need to go when I get turned around. :-)
She says the funniest things! These are some quotes from the last couple of days:
(Standing with an apple in one hand and cheese in the other.) "Daddy, can I have a snack?"
(After I had told her she couldn't do something she wanted to do.) "Mommy, you need to have a better attitude!"
(After telling Molly it was time to rest.) "We don't go to bed when it's daytime! We go to bed when it's nighttime--that's why it's called daytime and nighttime."
She's such a mess, but such a sweet little mess and I have no idea how I made it through life before my sweet girl! :-)
