After Molly and I got up from our naps today, we decided to take a walk. I'd been feeling pretty sick today, but the fresh air was nice! There is a school within walking distance of our house and we took Molly to play on the playground. It had been awhile since we'd been there and Molly was able to do a lot more. She had a great time!
Pregnancy Update
I had a doctor's appointment on Friday and everything looked great. I went in because I've been experiencing a minor complication, but everything with the baby looked great and we even got to hear the heartbeat for the first time!
I have been very sick this week, but I guess that's a good sign--nothing will make you feel pregnant like being sick all day! But I am SO blessed. My mom, Brian, and my coworkers have been amazing! Two months down--just seven more to go! :-)

Women's Retreat and 17 Months
This weekend I went on a women's retreat with the ladies from our church. It was a great retreat! It was my first time leaving Molly overnight, but she and daddy did great (with a little help from Nana)--they even went to play with her buddies Corrie and Ruby as their Mommy was also on the women's retreat.
In other news, Molly turned 17 months old yesterday. She's growing and growing. It's been so much fun watching her walk around the house. Such a big girl! I took this picture right after I got home yesterday. Daddy didn't take pictures the whole weekend, so I got right to work. You can tell she was SO excited about getting her picture taken. :-)

Look Who's Walking!
Molly has been taking a few steps for many months, but the most she would take would be three or four. Well, the last few days Molly has really started walking a lot more. She's been walking all the way across the room! She is so proud of herself--it's just about the cutest thing ever!

Tea Party!
Molly has really started understanding "pretend play" lately. She loves to "feed" her babies (and Mommy and Daddy which I recently read can be equally as beneficial for bonding as us feeding her.)
Well, this week Nana set up a little tea party for Molly and her stuffed animals and took some adorable pictures of the party. (I LOVE getting pictures from Molly's day--thanks, Nana!)

Cover Story
If you've seen the news, you've seen that Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools are cutting teacher positions. My friend Nicole (along with her 7 month old Cooper) went to the teacher rally before the school board meeting yesterday and ended up with their picture on the front page of the Charlotte Observer.

Fun Times With Friends
Tonight we had dinner with our friends the Robertsons and the Halubkas. The Halubkas were in town and we were so excited about getting the chance to hang out with everyone. Josh Robertson and Josh Halubka (I joked that Molly is going to think that all men that aren't named "Dada" are named "Mr. Josh") were both good friends of Brian's in college. It's been so neat to see how God has been working in the lives of our friends. Both couples have some AWESOME things going on and I'm so excited to see God's plans unfold.
Molly LOVES Miss Brooke! She's SO fun!

From Snow Boots to Flip Flops!
We didn't go to school Monday because it was snowing and by this weekend it was warm enough for flip flops! But hey--I'm not complaining! After what has seemed like a very long, cold NC winter, I am ready for Spring! We've had a fun weekend and enjoyed lots of time outside!

Snow Day in March?
I can't believe it, but we are ringing in March with snow! I don't remember the last time we had snow in North Carolina in March, but I'm sure it's been awhile. Brian went into work late, so he got to take Molly outside for a little while this morning. I think she remembered the snow because as soon as she woke up she looked outside and kept wanting to go out. While a two hour delay would be nice tomorrow, I'm hoping school isn't canceled again as I don't want to have any more make-up days!
The good news is that the temperature is going to be in the 70s later this week. Go figure! :-)
