Aaron's Baptism

 Aaron was baptized on Sunday.  Brian gave a very special fatherly blessing:

 Aaron,
We thank God for you as you are our unexpected blessing.  Just as Aaron was a strong testimony of God before Pharaoh, we pray that you will have that same strength and faith.  Your middle name is Levi--named after your great-grandfather--a godly man.  We pray that you will be like the tribe of Levi who, when Moses came down the mountain, and the people had worshiped the idol, this tribe remained loyal to God.  We pray that as you grow you will come to know God and be a follower of Christ and love Him with all of your heart, soul, and strength.

 We are so thankful for our precious Aaron!

Fun Times!

 We've had a busy week so far!  My friend Scottie came into town on Monday.  We got to have dinner with Scottie, Michelle, and all of their children.  We had a great time catching up!

Last night was Benton Heights night at McDonalds.  This was the best turnout we've ever had from restruant night--I think because the teachers were behind the counter!  It was so fun!

Christmas Pictures

 My friend Jill came over yesterday to take pictures for our Christmas cards.  Did they turn out cute, or what?!  She's a talented photographer!  (Of course she did have some serious cuteness to work with!)

Deck the Halls!

 

 We have our Christmas tree decorated!  The girls had SO much fun decorating the tree this year.  They worked on it forever and wanted to make sure we put on every single ornament.  It is already fun to look back at the ornaments we've gathered since becoming a family 8 years ago.

 

 Aaron was in bed for the tree-trimming, so I showed him the tree when he got up and took the opporutnity to take some pictures of him in front of the tree.  Is he cute or what?!

Husband of the Year

 So I got up with the baby at 5AM. I went back to bed when he went down for a nap at around 7:00. I woke up to a quiet house at 11:00--ELEVEN!! Turns out my sweet, wonderful husband got all three kids ready for church and took them by himself. Seriously? What did I do to deserve this guy?

Meanwhile, I ate my cereal and drank my coffee (when you get up at 11AM, should you have regular or decaf?) while I watched Steven Furtick. Lovely Sunday morning!

Then this afternoon, we went to the park with our friends, the Wilsons.  It was a wonderful Thanksgiving vacation.  Three weeks until Christmas vacation!!

Happy Anniversary!

Brian and I celebrated our 8th anniversary this year.  We celebrated by going out to dinner while the Newmans babysat the kids.  It was great to have some time to actually sit and talk.  Happy Anniversary, Honey!
