Promotion Sunday

Yesterday was the last day of the kids' current classes at church. Next Sunday they will move up!  Molly will be 3rd grade, Rayna 1st grade, and Aaron will be pre-k!  They are growing up so fast!

*Note:  Ginger was not promoted to third grade. Molly just wanted her in her picture. Haha!!!

This Week

We've had a fun, busy week filled with lots of time with friends and family. Today was Aunt Marie's birthday and we got to spend the afternoon with her. In other exciting news, our friend Ms. Cindy gave us the swing set her kids had outgrown so the kids have spent a lot of time outside playing. It's been an exciting week!

We're adopting again!

We are SO excited to announce that we are expanding our family once again through the miracle of adoption. When we began the adoption process several months ago, we were open to any program--Africa, Asia, domestic--whatever God wanted!  Within the last month, however, the doors for us to adopt from China have been swinging open left and right so we are thrilled to take a leap of faith and adopt from China!  China has close to 1 million orphans and most of them have special needs.  It is our plan to adopt a waiting child with special needs.

It is our desire to adopt a boy or a girl younger than Aaron in order to preserve birth order.  There are more waiting boys with special needs in China and we would love another little boy but we are also completely open to another girl if that's what God has planned for us.  We covet your prayers!  Please pray for our little one in China.  Right now all of our free time consists of paperwork, paperwork, and more paperwork!  Please pray for us as we juggle the adoption process with our already busy lives!  Stay tuned for updates on the newest little member of the Hines Family!

Molly has been talking about hamsters for quite awhile and she decided she was going to buy one. She's done lots of research and we found someone with hamster babies that needed a home so we took two of them. The kids are very excited about our new little rodents.

Soccer Star

 Aaron was quite the soccer star today!  He kicked the ball a little, played with his friends, chatted with Nana, and played in the dirt.  But he had fun!  This is a fun age to watch "play" soccer!

I can't believe our Ray of shine that was just 6 months old yesterday, is 6 and 1/2 today!  Where is the time going?!  Such a beautiful, special little girl.
