Happy Adoption Day!!

Six years ago today, we held our Molly for the first time.  We let Molly decide what she wanted to do to celebrate, and she wanted to go to Extreme Play and out to eat at Golden Coral.  She had a great day.  We are so thankful that God has chosen us to parent this special little girl.  Happy Adoption Day, Molly Grace Nguyen Hines!  You are so loved!!

Rayna's BFF

Two years ago, Rayna's little BFF, SJ, moved to Dubai.  We were all going to miss the Maxsons, but my heart absolutely broke for Rayna.  She was only two years old and I knew she wasn't going to understand her best little buddy moving away. 

Today, she got to see SJ again today!  They have grown up so much over the last two years!  It was so fun to watch them play and listen to them talk.  They leave to go back to Dubai next week but I am so very thankful that we got to see them!

Aunt Marie bought the girls several new games. Molly and I have been playing Boogle Jr and Scrabble a lot. It really helps with her spelling and of course I love spending time with my girl.

I've been having a hard time with the girls want to bring a ridiculous amount of stuff every time we leave the house.  So I told them that from now on, the rule is that they can only bring a backpack.  I kind of had pictured the little backpack like Aaron is wearing.  Molly had other plans.  Pretty sure she managed to get her entire bedroom into her "backpack" (more like a suitcase.)  She's such a mess!  Love her!

Rayna loves to hide from us.  Every night this week while Brian and I are cleaning the kitchen, she has brought down the comforter from off of her bed and hidden from us.  She never gets tired of it!  I just love that kid!

Making Waffles

I am really loving homeschooling. I feel like being the kids' teacher holds me more accountable for utilizing everyday experiences as learning opportunities. Kids are such little sponges. My kids love helping me cook and it's amazing how much they learn!  Molly was even doing fractions. And we were all super-proud of Rayna as for the first time, she cracked an egg all by herself. And Aaron helped stir. Today we made waffles. We do love waffles around here!  :)
