Yesterday was Brian's actual birthday. We surprised him with dinner
from Pizza Hut and cupcakes--all Molly's idea. She was so cute. She
said, "Mommy! We have to put up the happy birthday sign! And make
cupcakes! And when Daddy gets home we will say, 'Surprise, Daddy! It's
your birthday!' And he will be so happy!" She is turning into such a
caring little girl.
PS--Notice in the picture below that Molly
has a paci in each hand. She's not supposed to have them downstairs
and she's been "hiding" them in her purse. We're currently looking for a
PA (Paciholics anonymous) support group in our area. ;-)

Bubbles, Bubbles
When Molly was 19 months old, her favorite book was a Sesame Street book called Bubbles, Bubbles.
Her little sister, at 19 months, has the very same favorite book! Love
how my girls are so much alike (yet so VERY different!)
Their bubble bath tonight made me think of Rayna's favorite book Bubbles, Bubbles. :-)

One of THOSE days
Do you ever have one of THOSE days? Well, today was one of THOSE
days for the Hineses. First of all, my day started off with my baby
girl getting a hold of my phone. Now this is nothing unusual. Rayna
calls my friend Alicia at least once a week. I am so bad about leaving
it around and she gets a hold of it all the time. Well, this morning,
she got a hold of it and called 9-1-1. Seriously. I'm guessing
"emergency" must be one of my speed-dial buttons. While the dispatcher
was lecturing me about letting my child play with my phone, Rayna was
screaming at the top of her lungs (because I took the phone away.) She
asked for my address and I really expected to see the police show up. I
guess I learned my lesson about leaving my phone around.
Then
later this afternoon, my oldest sweetie locked us out of the house.
She's been going around the house locking all of the doors (inside)
which isn't really a big deal because our doors don't really "lock."
But our outside door do! Luckily, my friend Dana was just leaving and
she let me use her phone to call Brian. I'm telling you, these two only
LOOK sweet and innocent!
The good news is that sandwiched between those two
catastrophicannoying events, we had a really fun play-date. Our group today was
made up of four PLAN (our Vietnam agency) families and their children.
It was so much fun! I can't wait to do it again!
And these tw0 are definitely WAY too cool to have their pictures taken. :-)
