Pizza at the Park

We are loving this beautiful weather!  This afternoon, we met the Newman family at the park for dinner.  The kids had a great time playing!  Today was Caleb's first day of middle school.  He's going to an awesome school and said he had a good first day.  Aimee is doing really well in fifth grade.  We are so thankful for the Newman family!

Happy Adoption Day!

Five years ago today, we held our Molly for the first time.  She has been so excited about celebrating her Adoption Day.  She wanted Dunkin' Donuts for breakfast before church.

Then she really wanted to have ice cream sundaes so we invited our neighbors and Nana over for ice cream.  (Can you tell our girl likes her sweets?)

I can't believe it has been FIVE years since we were in Vietnam.  I can't believe we have had our sweet Molly in our arms for five years.  We love you so much, Sweet Girl!  Happy Adoption Day!

ImaginOn

Our neighbors (and good friends) the Waters moved to Charlotte a couple of weeks ago.  We missed them so much that we decided that since the girls had a teacher workday today we would take a field trip to Charlotte to see them.  Our other neighbors, the Joyners, went with us.  We met at the lightrail and we all rode to ImaginOn.  The kids had a great time.  They had a new Arthur exhibit for the summer and the kids just loved it.  I have to admit, it was a way better teacher workday than I'm used to!  So thankful to be home with my babies this year!

It's a good thing....

My sweet, precious boy has a new-found fascination with the toilet.  In the last couple of weeks, he has thrown a countless number of items into the toilet.  Hairspray, an entire roll of toilet paper, MY toothbrush.  Well, this morning, the threw my phone into the toilet.  So my phone is currently hanging out in a bag of rice.  It's a good thing he's so cute!

Another Project

As Molly's class is wrapping up their "All About Me" unit, she had another homework assignment/project this weekend.  She had to work with a family member to decorate a person to look like them.  She had so much fun and her person turned out so cute!  My favorite part is the pom-pom nose.  She is very excited to take her project to school tomorrow.

Family Fun

We got to visit with lots of family today.  Brian's family came in from Winston-Salem to spend the day with us.  It was a fun time as always!
We also got to see my Aunt Becky tonight.  She is in town visiting my mom and came over for dinner.  She let Molly fix her hair.  What a good sport!
We are so thankful for our family!

Rayna Reads

Her big sister isn't the only reading superstar in our house.  Check out Rayna!

Mommy-Daughter Date

I got a gift card for a manicure/pedicure for my birthday in April.  Yes, April.  I always thought the reason I didn't get my nails done was money.  Now I realize another reason I don't get my nails done is TIME.  So I finally made the time to get my nails done and decided to take the girls with me.  They were SO excited!  Rayna immediately picked a purple sparkly polish and carried it around until it was her turn.  Molly changed her mind fifteen times but finally decided on pink.  (Surprise, Surprise!)  It was fun girl time!

Waiting for the Bus

You know how you drive by kids out waiting for the bus at 6:30AM? It's early--they're looking sleepy, rubbing their eyes. That is NOT how my Rayna rolls. This is the way my girl waits for the bus.  ;-)

14 Months

Little Brother is 14 months old today.  At 14 months, Aaron is Mr. Personality.  He loves waving and "talking" to everyone we pass in the stores.  He loves to dance and act silly.  He loves playing in the water--tub, pool, water table, toilet (until he gets caught!)  He has a TEMPER!  If he doesn't get something he wants, not only does he cry, he runs away, lays on his stomach, covers his face, and kicks his legs.  Then he will run back into the room to remind you that he's still there and still unhappy and repeat the process.  ;-)

He loves his sisters.  He gets so excited when they get home from school.  Whenever the girls ride their tricycles or scooters, he is running right behind them.  He is ALL BOY.  He loves anything with wheels (cars, trains, buses, etc.) and loves to get dirty.  He loves to go outside which pleases Rayna.  The two of them are becoming buddies which is super cute.  Molly babies him and takes very good care of him, but Rayna will actually play with him and talk to him.

Of my babies, I would say he is the most picky eater at this age.  He will pick out whatever food he doesn't like and eat what he does like.  He loves cheese, watermelon, and bread.  He has a ton of teeth!  12 and more on the way!  He's ready for some steak!  He drinks from a bottle and a sippy cup, but will not hold his own bottle.  When he wants his bottle, he will bring it to you, sit in your lap, and wait for you to give it to him.  He wants to hold your hand while he drinks his milk.  Super sweet!

We love our baby boy!
