Date Night!

Brian and I had a date night Saturday. We had such a nice time! We went out with our friends Mike and Nicole. The four of us haven't been out without our children since Nicole was pregnant with Cooper--about three years ago! We went to a lot of our "usual" places--Qdoba, Starbucks, Target....BUT we were able to actually have adult conversation at dinner, SIT and drink our coffee, and shop without any whining. (Okay...minimal whining from the husbands.) I love my little pumpkins, but it's nice to have a night out every once in awhile! :-)

Six years ago today...

I married my best friend! :-)

I loved Brian so much that day, but six years, a lot of heartaches, and many smiles later, I love him so much more. We are celebrating our anniversary next weekend with a date night, but today we spent the day with these sweeties:
Our sixth anniversary couldn't get any better than this, now could it? :-)

Library

This afternoon, the girls and I went to the library to get some books and movies. It's the first time I've taken Rayna to the library and actually let her out of the Ergo. I definitely got my exercise for the day chasing after the two of them (who--of course--wanted to go in two different directions), but they had a lot of fun.
Molly has always loved the library! :-)

The Fall Fun Continues.....

It's been a busy week! We've been spending a lot of good times with friends and family including a baby shower we had for my niece. We've been loving spending time outside. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE the Fall?!
This is how the vast majority of my Rayna photos look these days. I'm telling you, the girl never stops!

Stats

Both of the girls had check-ups today. Molly had one last shot to get and she is now completely caught up. She also had her vision test and she passed. Rayna got four shots and a finger-prick. So hopefully we won't be seeing the doctor again for another 6 months for Rayna and year for Molly.
At three years old, Molly weighs 30lbs (44th percentile) and 36 inches (18th percentile).

At 1 year old, Rayna is 22lbs (62nd percentile) and 31 inches (93rd percentile).

I Heart Fall!

Such a lovely weekend! It's been really cold for Fall in North Carolina. The highs in the 50's and the lows in the 30's. But we have LOVED it! Brian likes cold weather and we had such a hot Summer that I have loved getting out our hats and sweaters. Speaking of sweaters, these pictures were not all taken the same day, Molly is just wearing her green sweater in all of them because it's her new favorite. She told us yesterday, "did you know I look just like Auntie Tara in this green sweater?" Honestly, Tara.....she came up with that all on her own! :-) I love weekends with my family!

What's a seven letter word for "one-year-old"?

~T~
~R~
~O~
~U~
~B~
~L~
~E~
Whew! Our one-year-old is T-R-O-U-B-L-E!! Her latest skills? Climbing on EVERYTHING, opening drawers, taking off the lid to the trash can, getting into the refrigerator, opening the toilet lid, and she is sooooooo close to RUNNING!

It's a good thing she's such a sweetheart! :-)

Happy First Birthday, Rayna!

One year ago today, I held my youngest baby girl for the first time. It has been such a fun year! I can't believe she's already one! She is such a precious girl and we are just so thankful to have her as our daughter.

We went to Nana's house for cake and presents. Rayna had her first taste of cake--yummy! She liked her presents, but was much more interested in eating the wrapping paper and standing on the boxes. Gotta love one-year-olds!
And apparently, this is THE card to give your granddaughter on her first birthday. Rayna received the same card from her Grandma, Nana, and Mrs. Austin--her honorary grandma. So funny!
And happy Rayna's birthday to Mommy and Daddy! We got to turn Rayna's car seat around! Oh, happy day!!
